Science & Technology Animal Report
Due: Thursday, March 31, 2005
Assignment:
- Select and research an animal (animal pre-approved by Miss Young)
- Research the animal, taking notes on the provided outline
- Make a HyperStudio stack about the animal
- Use at least 1 online source and 1 printed book source
- Attach your typed, formatted works cited to the outline when you hand it in (click here for details about the Works Cited)
- Use Inspiration to complete the information for Slides 5 & 6. Copy and paste your information into HyperStudio cards.
In this report, students are using the Internet to research information about an assigned animal, then presenting that information in a HyperStudio presentation. In addition to the use of Internet Explorer and HyperStudio, students are also using Inspiration to brainstorm a food web and animal adaptations as well as use AppleWorks to write a Works Cited. The Animal Report is due on Thursday, March 31, 2005. Students who require additional time to complete their report outside of computer lab and science should go to the computer center during recess (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) and lunch (every day).
