Book Report: Newberry Award

Assignment:

  1. Fill out the top portion of the Book Report Clipboard.   Get parental approval (initials).
  2. Read a Newberry book (either Newberry Medal Winner or Newberry Honor)
  3. Fill out the remainder of the Book Report
  4. Make a scrapbook page

BE CREATIVE!

Include the following information in your scrapbook page, remembering that pictures help illustrate your point.

  • Title of the Book
  • Author
  • Genre
  • Created by (Your Name)
  • Character(s) and a few sentences about them
  • Setting (where & when the story took place)
  • Problems & Solutions (you can illustrate & tell about several of the main problems)
  • Theme of the book (the "message")

Please do not duplicate a book pick of a classmate. Here is a list of books that have already been selected (based upon submission of book report clipboard). Remember, your selected book should be confirmed by me by Friday, April 29.
