Speech: See and Tell

Assignment:

Prepare and oral description of something that is attached to the ground or too big to be carried to school.

Select something you have seen and can describe vividly. Include details about the object's location, size, use, and history.

After you have completed your description, call on a student to try to guess the object. Limit the guesses to three students.

Conclude by sharing a picture or photo of the object.

Remember:

Be sure to use 3x5 index cards to prepare your speech - only write 2-3 key words or phrases, not sentences to be used as prompts!

Practice your speech - work on projecting your voice and having good eye contact.

Please check the Speech Schedule, Speech Groups, Speech Evaluation Form pages for additional information about due dates and criteria.
