Parent Letters: August 27, 2004, Welcome Letter
August 27, 2004
Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2004-2005 school year. I am excited to be teaching fourth grade at Blue Hills. While this is my first year at Blue Hills, the school district is very familiar to me – I even attended Cupertino schools while growing up!
Be sure to look at the papers and notices your child is bringing home each week in the blue Friday folder. Take a minute to go over the work with your child, make any comments on the space provided on the folder, read any comments I have written, and sign the folder in the space provided. Signed folders should be returned each Monday. You have also received a large packet of information in a large envelope yesterday – I would like to have all the forms returned by next Thursday, September 2, 2004.
The following are a few items that I would like your student to bring to school within the next week. If you have any problems securing any of these items, please let me know. Make sure all personal items are labeled with your child’s first and name.
I have developed a class website (http://missyoung.justmoi.org) that will provide you with additional information about our class, including assignment guidelines and letters. If you would like to make a donation to our class, please check our class wishlist on the web page.
It has been a delight getting to know your children these first couple days of school, and I am looking forward to the rest of the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me an email (Young_Kathy@cupertino.k12.ca.us) or leave me a message (408-257-9282 ext. 208). If you have an urgent message, please leave a message with the office. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday, September 9, 2004, at Back-To-School Night!
Sincerely,
Kathy Young
